Picasso.

In Paris, 271 undocumented works were just uncovered made by Pablo Picasso. Apparently his wife, Jacqueline Roque, gave the collection as a gift to a man who worked in Picasso's homes, and they have been the workman's possession ever since. However, some are saying the works were actually stolen by him during his time working in three of Picasso's estates.

1939 - 1943.

My dad just sent me an email full of images from the late 30's to early 40's. They are all via the Library of Congress website. The images were taken by photographers for the Farm Security Administration, an organization that was set up during this time to fight rural poverty by documenting it on film. It is such an incredible treat to see color images from this time.

William Eggleston is by far one of my most favorite photographers. His work has had a huge impact on my own. I can only admire someone who takes the most mundane things and makes them inspirational.
